Celebrex (Generic)
Celebrex (Generic) (CELECOXIB) is used to reduce pain, inflammation, and stiffness caused by osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. Celecoxib is also used to reduce the number of adenomatous colorectal polyps in familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP), to treat acute pain, and to treat pain associated with menstruation.
How To Use Celebrex Oral
Read the Medication Guide provided by your pharmacist before you start using celecoxib and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions regarding the information, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Take by mouth, usually once or twice daily, or as directed by your doctor. To decrease the chance of stomach upset, this drug is best taken with food. Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy. The lowest effective dosage should always be used, and only for the prescribed length of time (see also Warning section).
Important Information:
Like all prescription NSAIDs, CELEBREX may increase the chance of a heart attack or stroke that can lead to death. It should not be used right before or after certain heart surgeries.
Serious skin reactions or stomach and intestine problems, such as bleeding and ulcers, can occur without warning and may cause death.
For Women
If you plan on becoming pregnant, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using Generic Celebrex during pregnancy.
It is unknown if Generic Celebrex is excreted in breast milk.
Do not breast-feed while taking Generic Celebrex.
STORAGE:
Capsules should be stored between 15-30 C (59-86 F).
